Medical Billing Specialist Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $16.00 /hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)

• Prepares, reviews, and sends claims to various insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid plans either electronically or by paper in the mail.
• Maintains patient records to work with other staff, insurance companies, and/or patients to collect reimbursement for services rendered.
• Creating weekly billing files for electronic upload of claims to clearing house
• Creating monthly patient statements, checking for accuracy, stamping, attaching letters, folding, stuffing, and mailing
• Answering phone calls and or emails from patients, staff, and/or insurance companies asking for information/balances on accounts/creating groups
• Uses the photocopier/scanner to email/fax information to other departments or entities for further review
