Yard Driver Details:
Temporary position- $
13.50 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
First Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 06:00am to04:00pm )
This position will conduct safe and efficient vehicle movement and parking. In addition, this position will conduct preparations on vehicles for various stages of logistics processing
- Perform proper vehicle handling procedures
- Maintain appropriate anti-mutilation gear while operating car
- Drive and park vehicles in accordance with vehicle handling procedures
- Obey all traffic laws while operating vehicles
- Drive vehicles following a set schedule or route
- Operate vehicles while watching surroundings to maximize safety
- Maintain constant contact with the Team Leader and keep track of pickup and drop-off locations as necessary
- Prior to driving vehicles, inspect vehicles to ensure that it is damage-free and functioning correctly
- Follow all port traffic policies and posted speed limits
Yard Driver Qualifications:
- A valid drivers license is required
- Willingness & ability to work outside in the elements (heat and cold)d and stand & walk for most of shift
- Warehouse experience preferred
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
