Fleet Mechanic

Fleet Mechanic Details:

• Direct Hire position
• $20.00 to $35.00 /hour
• Full Time work available
• Various shifts available (Monday through Friday)

• Basic knowledge of repairing or replacing all structural, body and mechanical parts of a heavy-duty diesel truck.
• Must be proficient with brakes, drivelines, and mechanical engine components on tractors.
• Strong electrical experience with the ability to diagnose and repair all electrical systems.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance, ability to identify major components and repairing or replacing mechanical parts of a trailer.
• Willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Will be required to travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of customer owned Fleet equipment.
• Must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
• Use technology (laptops and tablets) comfortably.
• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety customer equipment while using a high degree of independent judgment.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner.
• Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements.
• The technician is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms.
• The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs, occasionally 100lbs.
