Elwood Staffing is looking for a Mill Equipment Operator for a wood pelleting mill!
3rd Shift 6:00PM-6:00AM
Pay: 19.00-21.00 DOE

Mill Equipment Operator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
19.00 to $ 21.00 / hour Full Time work availableThird Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 06:00pm to06:00am )
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Requires working knowledge of all aspects of the production process.
- Requires a high degree of technical, analytical skills.
- Must be able to pass the company forklift certification.
- Requires the ability to do simple to basic math calculations
- Requires working in a high temperature/ humidity area.
Mill Equipment Operator Qualifications:
- Responsible for operating and adjusting 3 pellet mills.
- Performing QC testing of finished pellets.
- Responsible for testing of incoming raw material and mix moisture content.
- Responsible for roll changes on pellet mills using overhead hoist.
- Measure and record the Durability, volume of fines, pellet diameter, and perform soak tests on finished pellets
- Continuously watch for problems troubleshooting equipment malfunctions
- Maintain pellet mill feed rates and adjust or change pellet mill rolls/dies
- Perform ash tests on mix
- Perform visual volumes of the silo’s volume.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
