Come to the high desert to start a new career! A Hobbs, NM manufacturer needs a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the team of 4 technicians to be out on the floor, monitoring the quality process.

Quality Assurance Manager Details:

  • Direct Hire position
  • $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 /annually
  • Salaried
  • Manage (including planning) the daily audit process to monitor the quality system and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Establish, maintain, and continually improve the overall quality system.
  • Provide leadership on key regulatory, customer and 3rd party audits.
  • Develop and implement quality-related training programs.
  • Track quality assurance metrics for the organization.
  • Develop, distribute, and maintain regular management reports.
  • Act as primary customer interface for significant QA related issues/initiatives.
  • Act as primary advisor to the operations management team on QA issues/initiatives (e.g. problem solving, identification and escalation of significant QA issues).
  • Develops and maintains the facility Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) program.
  • Promotes, adheres, and is responsible for Food Safety, Food Defense and Quality.
  • Manage and motivate QA staff.

Quality Assurance Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above OR equivalent in a related field of study.
  • Certified Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, Quality Inspector, Certified Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, RAC, etc
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a regulated environment.
  • At least 3 years of Management/supervision with at least one year supervising or managing a quality system and organization.
  • Technical knowledge of Quality Processes and systems including but not limited to: Allergens, HACCP, GMP's.
  • The individual needs specific experience and training in ready to eat production under USDA inspection.
  • Experience working in a plant-based food manufacturing environment, specifically with product development experience a definite plus.
