Diesel Mechanic Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
25.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
First Shift ( Monday throughSaturday from 07:00am to05:00pm )
- Diagnostic Work: Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues in diesel engines and systems.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs and routine maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, and related components.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical problems, electrical issues, and other system malfunctions.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks to ensure optimal performance.
- Parts and Tools: Inspect and replace worn or damaged parts and use specialized tools to complete repairs.
Diesel Mechanic Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational training program in diesel mechanics is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role.
- Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills; proficiency with diesel engine repair; familiarity with various hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) in diesel mechanics are a plus.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy parts, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
