Legal Assistant Details:

  • Contract to Hire position
  • $22.00 to $26.50 /annually
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)

This role provides administrative support to Law & IP BU, specifically, Contracts Department

  • General Duties (70%)
    • Produce and distribute correspondence (filing, data entry)
    • Set up and administer legal matters in matter management system
    • Matter tracking: run report and organize data from matter management
    • Organize and schedule meetings and appointments
    • Book travel arrangements
    • Submit and reconcile expense reports
    • Prepare presentations and reports
    • Litigation tracking (including charges); manage deadlines and send reminders
  • Projects: (20%) participate in the planning and execution of assigned Law & IP Unit projects
  • Back Up: (10%) provide back assistance to other admin assistants

Legal Assistant Qualifications:

  • AA Degree preferred but not required
  • At least 3 years of admin assistant experience and/or at least 2 years of experience working in a low office or corporate law department
  • Time management skills, flexibility, and attention to detail are essential
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS office
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
