Purchasing Assistant

Purchasing Assistant Qualifications:

• Create, place, and manage purchase orders for materials, coordinating part and material deliveries

• Assist in reviewing and reporting the status of open purchase orders and delivery timelines

• Address schedule conflicts or delivery delays to ensure production needs are met

• Identify and communicate potential issues to internal and external parties

• Serve as a liaison between internal customers and external suppliers for engineering, quality, and delivery concerns

• Coordinate efforts to resolve quality issues and recover associated costs

• Maintain files, update system parameters, and generate reports for distribution and review

• Support other buyers and supervisors with financial control, risk management, and resolving supplier invoice discrepancies
