Machine Operator Trainee
Elwood Staffing is looking for motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Machine Operator Trainees in our paper pulp manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in manufacturing. You will receive hands-on training in operating various machinery involved in the production of paper and pulp products. As a trainee, you will work closely with experienced machine operators to develop the skills needed to safely and efficiently run complex manufacturing equipment.

Machine Operator Trainee Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
17.50 to $ 21.00 / hour Full Time work availableVarious shifts available
- Day ($17.50/hour) and Swing Shift ($21/hour) Available
- Learn to operate and monitor paper pulp processing machines under the guidance of senior operators.
- Assist in setting up, calibrating, and adjusting machinery to meet production specifications.
- Monitor product quality and make adjustments to machinery to ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on machines to ensure proper operation.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues with the equipment and escalate issues when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and operational guidelines.
- Keep detailed records of production data and report any discrepancies or concerns to supervisors.
- Work with the team to meet daily production targets and minimize downtime.
Machine Operator Trainee Qualifications:
- 1 Year experience as an operator in a production environment. (Particularly operating programmable logic controller equipment a plus.
- 1 Year experience as a forklift operator.
- Highly developed mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and problem resolution skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
