Industrial Diesel Engine Mechanic Details:
Direct Hire position- $
38.51 to $ 40.73 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to04:00pm )
- Maintain equipment operation by completing inspections, preventive maintenance requirements, correcting deficiencies, keeping records, diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Determine equipment condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts and general troubleshooting.
- Maintain yard/field equipment (forklifts, cranes, service trucks, welders, trailers, generators)
- Completing preventive maintenance schedules, installing components, parts upgrades, correcting deficiencies, maintaining appearance and keeping records of time by task.
- Diagnose and repair any issues found during initial testing.-
- Change filters and perform standard service
- Work with Shop Manager on project progress, & estimates
- Assist in preparing generators for shipment as needed
Industrial Diesel Engine Mechanic Qualifications:
- Industrial diesel engine mechanic with at least 5 years of experience.
- In-depth understanding of diesel engine technology is required.
- Experience working with large industrial diesel engines and related equipment is required.
- Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of experience working with numerous name brands and industrial engines like Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, etc.
- Proficient with estimating time required to complete tasks
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues on large commercial and industrial diesel engines
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
