Carbide Tool Maker Details:
Contract to Hire position- $
40.00 / hour First Shift ( Monday throughFriday )
• The tool and die maker is responsible for performing his/her own set-ups and machine/grind all necessary components required to complete assignments given to support all manufacturing product lines.
• Strong understanding of slip and press fit relationships.
• Repair Header tools and make complete header tool components.
• Work with carbide, hardened tool steels, dies and cutting tools to close tolerance.
• Work with mills, lathes, surface grinders, hones and fixtures.
• Use shop math as required.
Carbide Tool Maker Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a tool maker for a manufacturing facility and MUST have carbide experience
• Shop math and be able to read blueprints.
• Experience using measuring instruments (i.e., micrometers, calipers, comparators).
