Medical Billing Specialist Details:
Temporary position- $
18.00 to $ 19.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:30am to04:30pm )
- Greet and provide assistance, guidance and direction to visitors and clients.
- Maintain a positive “customer-service” approach at all times.
- Complete insurance verification.
- Research outstanding accounts receivable.
- Clearly document issues and resolution.
- Communicate with third-party representatives as necessary to complete claims processing and /or resolve problem claims.
- Maintains confidentiality: adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
- Exhibit exceptional customer service skills; answering patient and insurance calls; prompt return and follow up to all interactions; prompt response to requests for information.
Medical Billing Specialist Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of physiology, medical terms and anatomy
- Strong knowledge of medical billing and coding procedures.
- Associate’s degree or higher and/or two years of equivalent experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in medical billing or any coding industry
- Must be able to withstand considerable sitting while performing the duties of the job.
- Must be able to frequently use hands to utilize office equipment
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
