Electrical Instrumentation Technician Details:

  • Direct Hire position
  • $1.00 /hour
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 03:00pm)
  • Responsible for installation, calibration, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various instrumentation devices within the operation. The functions include but are not limited to the operation of valves, controllers, transmitters, positioners, PLC’s, pneumatic, electronic and hydraulic lines.
  • Responsible for installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various electrical equipment and devices within the operation using available instructions, manuals and schematic diagrams. The functions include but are not limited to the operation and troubleshooting of motors, motor starters, motor controllers, inverters, electrical switchgear, lighting and all electrical circuits from DC up to and including 4160V.
  • Write purchase requisitions, work orders, look up purchase orders, requisitions and work orders, and look up parts in storeroom, and train and use other software within the company as needed via computer.

Electrical Instrumentation Technician Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Additional education from an electrical trade school also required or equivalent training and experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years working in an industrial environment required. At least 3 years of direct electrician experience required.
  • Certifications: Electrician Certification preferred.
  • Licenses: Driver’s License required.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of inductive devices, voltages, measuring devices, AC/DC fault interrupt and distribution, and analog sensors required. Candidate should be well-versed in safety standards as well.
