Butcher Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
15.00 to $ 18.50 / hour Full Time and Part Time work available- Weekend work required
First Shift ( Tuesday throughSunday from 09:00am to06:00pm )
- Cutting, grinding and preparing meats for retail sale.
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring displays and signage are accurate.
- Weighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying products.
- Performing quality inspections on meats and other products.
- Adhering to food safety and sanitation controls.
- Ensures that coolers and freezers are organized.
- Provides a friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, and taking orders and payments by phone and in person.
- As needed, assist in processing business transactions, handling cash, and processing debit/credit card.
- Carry out other store administrative tasks as directed by the store manager.
- Pay is based on experience and qualifications.
Butcher Qualifications:
- A friendly, positive, customer-focused attitude is a must.
- Ability to work flexible hours and multitask in a retail environment.
- Ability to work in a team and independently with minimum supervision.
- Time management and ability to prioritize tasks given.
- Willingness to learn about new items and procedures quickly.
- Ability to use hand tools, stand or walk for 3+ hours at a time, lift at least 75 pounds, and work in cold environments.
