Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Production Associate Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$17.50 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 02:30pm)

As a Production Associate, you will be tasked in the final assembly of small to medium tractors and or small off-road vehicles depending on which department you are in. You are assigned to a assembly cell where you will putting your mechanical skills to the test using hand and power tools to complete the final assemblies following customer specifications.

Assemble parts with hand tools and DC nut runners
Conduct quality control checks
Maintain inventory checks, oversee and gather parts
Resolve assembly problems by changing dimensions to meet specifications
Document actions by filling out product and quality forms

Production Associate Qualifications:

Mechanically inclined
Follow Blueprints and Customer Specs
Previous hands on mechanical and assembly experience preferred
Lifting up to 50lbs
High school diploma or GED

Applicant may be subject to a background check
Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
