Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Field Service Technician

We’re looking for a skilled Field Service Technician with a strong background in heavy equipment maintenance and hydraulic systems. This role requires a hands-on problem solver who can diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of equipment on-site and in the field. Field Service Technician Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$20.00 /hour
Full Time work available
Weekend work required
Various shifts available (Sunday through Monday from 05:00am to 05:00pm)

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment
Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
Respond to field service calls in a timely and professional manner
Maintain accurate service records and reports
Communicate with customers and service coordinators to ensure efficient scheduling and job completion
Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company and industry standards

Field Service Technician Qualifications:

3+ years of experience with heavy equipment repair, including hydraulic systems.
Technical certification or training in diesel mechanics, hydraulics, or a related field preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Self-motivated and able to work independently in the field
