Steel Handler Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
18.02 to $ 18.82 / hour Full Time work availableSecond Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 03:00pm to12:00am )
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes; complete daily safety checklists.
- Unload steel coils from trucks and inspect for quality, measurements, and defects.
- Process coil receipts in the Plex system and issue proper documentation and tags.
- Pre-stage materials for production, assist with coil changes, and maintain an organized steel bay.
- Support press operators with setups and material handling.
- Assist in managing scrap, waste, and rework processes.
- Perform cycle counts and contribute to inventory accuracy.
- Support ongoing equipment maintenance by reporting issues and documenting in Plex.
- Follow 5S standards and participate in audits and team training.
Steel Handler Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Valid Forklift and Overhead Crane Certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 35 lbs independently.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
