Dispatcher Second Shift Details:
Temporary position- $
21.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
Second Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 01:30pm to10:30pm )
- Coordinate daily dispatch of trucks and drivers based on delivery schedules and cargo requirements.
- Monitor vehicle locations in real time, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain communication with drivers to provide instructions, address issues, and offer support during transit.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of transportation requests, vehicle assignments, and communication logs.
- Support a positive and professional working environment among drivers and staff.
Dispatcher Second Shift Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in dispatching or logistics coordination preferred.
- Ability to develop efficient daily schedules that meet service timelines and reduce downtime.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS), GPS tracking, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and general safety procedures in trucking and freight handling.
- Ability to remain calm and solution-focused in high-pressure situations.
Preferred Attributes: Professional demeanor with drivers, staff, and clients. Commitment to customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance. Attention to detail in record-keeping and scheduling.
