3rd Shift - Lab Technician Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
19.00 / hour Full Time work availableThird Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 09:00pm to05:30am )
Duties:
- Perform routine quality checks during production and record results in digital systems
- Test raw materials, in-process, and finished products using standard procedures (e.g., pH, acidity, CO?, microbiological tests)
- Identify and report any safety hazards, and follow all safety guidelines. Isolate and document any non-conforming products according to company procedures
- Follow all quality, food safety, and environmental guidelines and work instructions
- Ensure compliance with FDA, FSMA, ISO-GFSI, and company quality standards; stop production if necessary
- Monitor sanitation, hygiene, and water treatment systems per GMP standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, lean, Six Sigma)
- Calibrate lab equipment and troubleshoot processes
- Review and verify documentation for incoming materials (e.g., HFCS, CO?, nitrogen)
3rd Shift - Lab Technician Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (or GED) required; Bachelor’s in a science-related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in Food Plant Quality Assurance, or 2+ years in production with proven Quality Systems knowledge
- Strong analytical, computer, and scientific skills with excellent attention to detail
- Familiarity with lab safety and handling hazardous materials
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
