Warehouse Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
18.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
First Shift ( Monday throughSaturday from 08:00am to05:00pm )
- Receiving: Unloading trucks, verifying shipments, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Storing: Organizing metal parts in the warehouse, using shelves, pallets, or other storage methods.
- Picking: Locating and retrieving specific metal parts based on customer orders.
- Material Handling: Using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials efficiently. Loading and
- Unloading: Loading: Preparing metal parts for shipment, placing them on trucks or pallets. Unloading: Receiving shipments, unloading trucks, and verifying contents. Additional Responsibilities:
- Safety: Following safety procedures and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Warehouse Qualifications:
- Understanding of metal materials: Knowledge of different types of metals, their properties, and safe handling procedures is crucial.
- Operating material handling equipment: Proficiency in using equipment like forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks for moving and storing metal products is essential.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations: Understanding how goods are received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped, including relevant safety protocols, is vital.
- Basic computer skills: Familiarity with computers or handheld devices used for tasks like inventory tracking and order processing is often necessary.
- Measuring and layout: Ability to use measuring tools, interpret blueprints and layouts, and ensure precise placement of materials.
- Safety procedures: Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations, including forklift safety, hazard identification, and emergency procedures
