Exciting opportunity for an experienced Oilfield Lab Technician in Shreveport, LA for a Global Oil & Gas Service provider. $20/hr+ based on experience with 12-hour shifts. Training in San Antonio up to 3 months.

Lab Tech Oilfield Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
20.00 to $ 27.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
Various shifts available ( Sunday throughSaturday )
- Performs quality assurance tests on company products, prepares laboratory reports before service delivery at the wellsite, and provides advanced technical support during additive selection and fluid design for well integrity, drilling, and completions fluids.
- Develop the competency level required to perform advanced additive selection and integrated well construction fluids designs.
- Ensure that laboratory equipment is in clean, working condition and that waste is regularly disposed.
- Perform regular audits to ensure the laboratory operates according to required standards.
- Perform risk analysis before each task or job to identify and mitigate potential safety or quality concerns.
Lab Tech Oilfield Qualifications:
- 3+ years of oilfield experience or 1 year of cement lab experience preferred
- Associates' or bachelor's degree in Chemistry preferred, with no oilfield lab work experience
- Lab techs hired for Shreveport may train in San Antonio for up to 3 months
- The company will provide hotels and will pay for the expenses of driving back and forth
- A valid driver's license & acceptable driving record are required
- Applicant will be subject to hair follicle drug testing & pre-employment physical
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
