Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Sign Technician

A Sign Technician's job involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of signs, including traffic signs, commercial signs, and other signage. They work with a range of tools and equipment to fabricate, install, and maintain signs, ensuring they meet specifications and safety standards.

Sign Technician Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$16.00 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)

Reading blueprints and schematics: Understanding technical drawings to accurately install signs.
Operating various tools and equipment: Including hand tools, power tools, and potentially specialized equipment like cranes or augers.
Performing electrical work: Wiring and connecting signs to power sources. Working at heights: Safely accessing and working on elevated structures.
Designing special signs: Creating custom signage for specific needs.

Sign Technician Qualifications:

Technical Skills: Proficiency with tools, equipment, and potentially CAD software.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues with signs and installations.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Safety Awareness: A strong understanding of safety regulations and practices.
