Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Receiving Clerk Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$16.50 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:30am to 05:00pm)

Accurately receive and record inventory using scanners and our digital systems.
Track and locate products, ensuring expiration dates are up to date.
Perform data entry and basic clerical tasks using Excel and Adobe Acrobat DC.
Follow all safety procedures while contributing to a high-energy, team-focused workplace.

Receiving Clerk Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but motivation and reliability count too!
Comfortable using computers, including Excel and Adobe Acrobat DC.
Able to lift 40–50 lbs consistently and perform physically active tasks.
Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and ready to follow instructions carefully.
Committed to at least 2 years, growing your skills, and being part of a team.
