Collections Specialist Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
19.50 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 06:00am to07:00pm )
- Candidates are eligible to earn monthly and quarterly bonuses after 90 days of good performance
- Candidates must be available between the hours of 6AM-7PM.
- Candidates will be scheduled a random time zone.
- Candidates must be available for training
Duties:
- Perform cash collections activities for institutional loans, private loans, cash payment plan collections, and past-due collections for all inactive student accounts- 80-100 outbound calls daily
- Ensure all regulatory requirements are adhered to in regards to collection activities
- Responsible for outbound calls, e-mailing and/or sending letters to inactive students with past due balances to obtain payments
- Ensures the collection goals assigned are met each month and strives to exceed this goal
- Ensures the proper number of collection activities are performed per day/week to meet account collection goals set by supervisor
- Perform skip tracing activities in locating borrowers
- Assist in data collections and report preparation on an on-going basis as required
Collections Specialist Qualifications:
- Six months to one year of 3rd party collections or last stage collections
- Strong interpersonal and positive relationship management skills. Sensitivity to students and families of diverse socio-economic backgrounds
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze numbers
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
