Lead Welder Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
20.00 to $ 24.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to05:00pm )
- Review jobs from prior days’ work or previous shift including, quantity/quality ran and proper identification on product
- Prepare personnel assignments to resources according to the need of the shift
- Provide assistance and training to employees who need technical advice
- Report major delays in manufacturing or quality issues to Manufacturing Manager
- Implement cross training when possible for personnel
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Proficient in assigned welding techniques
- Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbology
- Knowledge of wire and filler material applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials
- Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
- Proficient in the use of conventional and precision measuring instruments
- Process inspection, certification, and documentation
- Welding equipment maintenance
- Improve processes, have knowledge and responsibility of scheduling jobs
- Assist and train other welding personnel
- Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools
- Utilize and abide by ISO requirements and safety procedures
Lead Welder Qualifications:
- Five years related experience and /or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High school diploma or GED preferred and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Welding Certifications preferred.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
