Elwood Staffing is looking for a career-minded Tooling Technician for our Fountain Inn SC client.

Tooling Technician Details:
Temporary position- $
26.63 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
Second Shift
2nd and 3rd shift available- must be willing to work weekends at times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Injection Mold Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with injection molds to minimize downtime.
- Repair & Engineering Changes: Perform repairs and implement engineering updates to molds with precision and efficiency.
- Preventative Actions: Develop and implement solutions to enhance mold performance and prevent future issues.
- Fixture Fabrication: Create detailed fixtures to support production and quality assurance.
- Vendor Collaboration: Coordinate with external vendors for outsourcing needs, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Customer Focus: Partner with cross-functional teams to address and resolve customer concerns promptly.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with TS 16949 standards and maintain consistent quality in all processes.
- Safety & Housekeeping: Lead by example in adhering to safety protocols, reporting incidents, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Tooling Technician Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of a Technical School program or equivalent work experience. Experience:
- 1-3 years in Mechanical or Process Engineering and Injection Molding.
- 1-3 years within the automotive industry. Certification:
- Journeyman Toolmaker Certification is required.
- Adaptability: Ability to travel and work at customer sites, including in industrial manufacturing settings requiring physical activity such as climbing and lifting.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
