Mold Setup Technician Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
20.02 to $ 22.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
Third Shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and 5S policies.
- Perform weekly preventive maintenance on machines and tools, including lifting and securing molds with tools and equipment.
- Connect electrical, hydraulic, and cooling systems to molds.
- Set and adjust plastic material parameters, including temperatures, shot size, injection speed, and pressures.
- Execute tool changes safely and efficiently using crane and Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures.
- Ensure molding processes follow established guidelines to meet quality standards.
- Conduct quality control testing and inspections before and during production cycles.
- Maintain equipment, report damages, and recommend improvements.
Mold Setup Technician Qualifications:
- Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant work experience considered.1-3 years of injection molding and manufacturing experience.
- Forklift certification (training provided) and 1 year of overhead crane experience.
- Strong understanding of machinery, material purging, and color changes.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and implement safety, quality, and productivity improvements.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including prolonged standing, frequent lifting (50 lbs), and operating tools requiring force (75 lbs).
- Flexibility to work any shift, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Skills
- Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills.
- Knowledge of measuring and gauging tools for quality inspections.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
