Quality Inspector

Quality Inspector Details:

• Direct Hire position
• $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /annually
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 04:00pm)

• Ensure all work meets the required quality specifications as defined by customer requirements.
• Inspect and document all machining operations and services provided by outside vendors.
• Communicate with customers to verify drawing specifications and resolve issues when the Quality Control (QC) Lead is unavailable.
• Handle customer interactions regarding rejects and implement corrective actions in the absence of the QC Lead.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, plug gauges, ring gauges, CMMs, comparators, and concentricity gauges, under the direction of the Quality Lead.
• Adhere to the company’s quality system to maintain a spoilage rate of no more than 2%.
• Manage and maintain gauge calibrations and records, ensuring all gauges meet calibration standards as directed by the Quality Lead.
• Perform duties safely and efficiently, complying with all company rules and regulations.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement to enhance the quality department’s effectiveness.
