Funeral Director Details:
Direct Hire position- $
25.00 to $ 38.00 / hour - Weekend work required
Various shifts available
- Consulting with families to plan customized services.
- Preparing legal documents (e.g., obituaries, death certificates).
- Managing service arrangements with clergy, organizations, and attendees.
- Preparing and presenting the deceased (dressing, casketing, embalming).
- Coordinating transportation and shipments of remains.
- Supervising team roles during services and training apprentices.
- Handling on-call or first-call responsibilities as needed.
Funeral Director Qualifications:
- Funeral Director: Minimum 2 years of licensed experience.
- Funeral Embalmer: Minimum 5 years of licensed experience.
- Valid Funeral Director and Embalmer license in good standing.
- State-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication, empathy, and customer service orientation.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant systems.
- Ability to multitask and work independently under minimal supervision.
- Bilingual capability is a plus.
