Description
Maintenance Mechanic
The Maintenance Mechanic will service equipment. This role performs repairs, corrections, replacement, inspections, documents, and files accordingly and reports back to the Plant Manager. This will be a multifaceted position where maintenance personnel will also be expected to assist in operations as an ancillary responsibility.

Maintenance Mechanic Details:
Direct Hire position- $
26.00 / annually Full Time work available- Weekend work required
Various shifts available ( Monday throughFriday )
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment; primarily loaders, shears, grapple, skid steers, forklifts, tractor/trailer
- Perform daily preventive maintenance on equipment as required
- Perform physical duties that are associated with the operation of equipment
- Complete and maintain necessary paperwork pertinent to the assigned department
- Prepare all necessary documentation [Bill of Ladings, Work Orders, Purchase Orders, Tool Orders]
- Conveyor systems, hydraulic systems, PLC’s
- Welding, torch cutting, grinding, weld set-up
- Set up and break down machinery
- Assist operations by occasionally operating balers and heavy equipment such as skid steers, front loaders, and forklifts.
Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem solving
- Welding and grinding
- Sort and identify tools and parts
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Pass a pre-employment background check
- Willing to work overtime and weekends when necessary
- High school diploma or GED, Trade school
- 2 years minimum experience Maintenance/ Mechanic
- Hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical
- Sit, stand, walk, and stoop for long periods of time
- Able to climb in/on mobile equipment
- Exposure to physical operations in scrap recycling facilities, including walking/climbing in active industrial yards with uneven surfaces in inclement weather
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
