We are seeking an experienced Freight Broker to grow with our company

Freight Broker Details:
Direct Hire position- $
60,000.00 to $ 100,000.00 / annually First Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:00am to05:00pm )
- Generate and maintain new business and assist with the growth of our established customer base.
- Generate and quote shipments to customers and carriers.
- Manage all aspects related to shipments being transported (data entry, tracking, tracing)
- Establish relationships by negotiating value for both customers and carriers.
- Keeping up with changes in regulations, national fuel schedules and shipping trends.
- Making sure all applicable compliance regulations and laws are adhered to.
- Promote WCCT’s services and value by promoting tailor-fitting services based on customers’ requests and needs.
- Thoroughly vetting carriers hired to haul shipments, ensuring WCCT’s standard and processes are adhered to.
- Monitoring the progress of shipments, dealing with shipment delays and damage and resolving any problems that arise.
Freight Broker Qualifications:
- 2 years minimum of documented freight brokering experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while actively communicating to customers, carriers, and team members.
- Be able to work independently without supervision.
- Strong negotiating and problem-solving skills
- This candidate will be self-driven and possess strong analytical and technical skills that can be used to produce creative solutions.
- This individual will be outgoing, self-motivated, confident, and well organized.
- Work well under pressure with excellent communication skills must be able to speak up and be heard. We welcome new ideas.
- Have extensive computer knowledge – Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products
- Understanding the value of the customer as well as the carrier by managing schedules in all time zones of the United States.
- Troubleshooting skills, very organized and a positive demeaner.
- Ability to develop profitable business opportunities. No Cold Calling – we have an extensive customer base and growing daily.
- Knowledge of carrier compliance guidelines and requirements
- Selling and negotiating rates and service solutions to customers and carriers via phone, email and text.
- Proactively communicate issues, concerns, ideas, solutions internally and externally.
- Understand and effectively escalate situations when needed through the appropriate channels.
