Buyer Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
14.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift
- Generates and maintains PO’s for outsourced vendors, and when necessary, miscellaneous PO’s throughout the factory. This includes working with Accounting, QC and Warehouse to resolve PO’s matching, billing and credit issues.
- Generates/maintains information used to report or analyze purchase data, component inventory, and other various month end reports for Production Control
- Solicits quotes for material and researches new vendors, as requested by production or engineering personnel (including any of the engineering depts. in the US)
- Maintains approved vendors list (contains vendor information such as contact name/number and other pertinent information).,Visits vendors as required, and supports QA in vendor approval process
- Issue written and oral instructions.
Buyer Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- College level course work, preferably in Material Management curriculum
- Must have good language skills. Must be able to issue both written and oral instruction
- Good mathematical are essential.
- Must have an understanding of scheduling techniques in a manufacturing environment.
- 1. A certificate in Material Management is helpful, but not required. APICS certification helpful, but not required.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
