Buyer Details:
Direct Hire position- $
25.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:00am to05:00pm )
- Pay: $52,000 a year (Salary)
- Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Develop and maintain strategic sourcing plan, continuously evaluate and improve supply chain sources.
- Issue and maintain purchase orders.
- Implement and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure inventory items are available to meet production schedule.
- Request quotes from suppliers.
- Strategically negotiate pricing and supplier agreements.
- Manage inventory forecasting and stock levels.
- Work under the general direction of the plant operations manager or business unit management.
Buyer Qualifications:
- 1-3 years supervisor experience required
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints
- Effective communication both verbally and written
- Experience negotiating and developing strategic supplier agreements
- Experience with import logistics
- 5 years experience in purchasing and supply chain logistics
- BA degree preferred but not required
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
