Food Quality Assurance Manager Details:

• Direct Hire position
• $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 /annually

• Food Safety and Quality (FS&Q) leader for the manufacturing sites, ensuring the facility complies with state and local regulatory requirements as they relate to food safety.
• Maintain current knowledge of trends and changes affecting food safety to make recommendations for appropriate program changes to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborates with site and corporate FS&Q team to maintain the Food Safety & Quality Plan. Alerts corporate FSQ to changes in plant, equipment, or process that have a potential impact on HACCPJ Preventive Controls, SQF, and/or Organic Programs.
• Conduct internal reviews and other verification and validation activities to ensure plan effectiveness.
• SQF practitioner/SQF Quality practitioner. Point of contact for audits. With corporate FS&Q team, oversees the implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF system.
• Educates and supports the site team in systems and processes which fulfill SQF requirements.
• Ensures compliance with product-related certifications including Organic and Kosher and participates in annual recertification audits
• Champions the education and training of personnel on FSQ practices and standards.
• Tracks and analyzes food safety and quality metrics and leads initiatives for continuous improvement of FSQ systems and processes.
• Manages document control to ensure accuracy of all FSQ policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance and record keeping for all mandated quality checks, testing, sampling, and sanitation activities.
• Site point of contact for material qualifications testing including incoming inspection of materials and reporting of results to responsible corporate personnel and suppliers.
