Description
Project Accountant
Direct hire, Project Accountant position at a residential builder in Irvine. Will join a small team and provide construction accounting skills to the department. Must have construction accounting experience. Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm OR 8:30am to 5pm. $65K - $80K DOE + strong benefits package.

Project Accountant Details:
Direct Hire position- $
65,000.00 to $ 80,000.00 / annually First Shift ( Monday throughFriday )
- Process corporate and construction payables for multiple projects and entities.
- Process invoices for weekly check runs for multiple projects and companies.
- Resolve payment inquiries and/or conflicts with vendors.
- Check Preliminary Notices and releases on invoices on a daily basis.
- Research vendor/problem invoices daily.
- Answer questions and review invoices with Superintendents as needed.
- Mail checks and/or arrange for vendors to pick up checks.
- Prepare checks weekly or as needed.
- Void and reissue checks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Project Accountant Qualifications:
- Computer literate: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, JD Edwards.
- Strong construction accounting background, including familiarity with Preliminary Lien Notices, Lien Releases, insurance, loan draws, reconciliations of bank statements, etc.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Able to prioritize and juggle responsibilities.
- Detail oriented. Highly motivated.
- Strong communication skills and an ability to work well with vendors and coworkers.
- Team player, highly regarded for knowledge, initiative, and dependability in the performance of duties, and willingness to jump in where needed.
